Training networks are gaining more and more importance for the qualified vocational training of skilled workers in the chemical industry. This is partly due to the high proportion of small and medium sized companies in this industrial sector. In order to keep improving vocational training and to do justice to the demands of the industry's international orientation, the chemical industry is planning a training network association on a European scale. Although the initiative has been set up by the Training Network Chemistry and Chemistry related Professions Saxony, it is exemplary for all sectors of the chemical industry. What experiences are there to draw on? What milestones have already been achieved on the road to a European chemistry network association?
