1 Treatment strategy

Step 1 (according to medical prescription):

Nutritional benefit: no oral nutrient and fluid intake

Stage 2 (Day 1):

Carbohydrates: sweetened tea, rusk, mucus soup

Stage 3 (2nd to 4th day):

Low fat protein: skimmed milk products, white bread, meat and fish (low fat)

Step 4 (5th - 7th day):

High-fiber foods, potatoes, vegetables, larger portions

Step 5 (8-15 days):

Fat in small portions: cheese (low fat), egg, meat and fish

Step 6 (16 - 21 day):

Light normal diet: finely ground whole grain products, no raw food, no flourishing vegetables and legumes;

6 - 8 small meals, which should be carefully prepared: cooking and steaming, low-fat frying.

After the symptoms have subsided, a light meal or normal diet is usually prescribed.
