The degradation in culture and morals brought on by "the modern world" is now obvious to an increasing number of people. Especially in the West, we seem to have lost the moral foundation and cultural immune system that keeps us united and our lives meaningful. This vital foundation is under constant attack by the ever expanding "modern world." After studying and living the Ethos as long as I have, you will find that the Ethos gives ussolid metaphysical and moral ground to stand on.  How you stand on that ground, and what you build on it, is up to you. For those who have lost their ground, I beg you to use the Ethos to put the ground back under your feet. For those like Aristotle, born into good fortune and with high intelligence, I offer you a renewed and simplified take on this classical wisdom, as well as an easier way to share it with others and use it as a daily reference guide. Ethos is a Greek word that translates to "character" and this is also the root word for ethikos, which is where we get the word "ethics" in English. As one would guess, this text essentially concerns ethical character. You will see quickly into the first chapter, ethics is all about practice. This is not "classical philosophy"; it is a How-To handbook for the most important thoughts, behaviors, habits and relationships we all experience in our lives.
