This is a series of books on love, relationships, and the idea that you don't always have to chase after what you want in life. There are times when it finds you. There are three sets of people in life. First are the white caps. People who are always on the move. Always doing something. Next are the backwaters. People who have no intention of going anywhere or doing anything. The third are the drifters. These are people who know what they want, where they are going, and what they need to do to get there. But it is all done in its own time. Like a piece of wood lazily floating down a stream. May you all drift your way to success.

This is a series of books on love, relationships, and the idea that you don’t always have to chase after what you want in life.
I dedicate this to my wife, Terri, and to all those who never stop trying to find what they want to do in life.
It is so much fun discovering what you can do that you thought you never could.
This book is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to persons living, or dead, is purely coincidental.

Patrick was sitting at the end of the dock when Samantha joined him. After a brief kiss he turned his attention back to the calm waters of Cayuga lake. Down, at the far end, he could see a dark grey mass. He didn’t like the look of it at all. “Storm coming.”
“Is that all that’s wrong?” Sam asked him.
For a long time he didn’t answer. He just stared at the lake with thoughts far away at the southern end where Stewart Park could be found. His mind was going over the map he kept in his head of the area. Not just the park but up to a half mile by land and two miles by water. He could see every tree, bush, path, current, the foot bridge from the golf course, the abandoned swan’s lagoon, as well as the tennis courts and pavilions. It wasn’t a photographic memory, but his fun past time was mapping. He was very good at what he did. Not only could he map but he could put together several battle scenarios for any area he looked at. Somehow it just would appear in a series of thoughts. Each one only slightly different from the last but each had a success percentage associated with it. Bill had once told him he could out think a computer with the highest intelligence. Patrick laughed at the thought.
“Are you saying you couldn’t out think the best computer ever made?” Bill sounded surprised that Patrick would even hint at something like this.
“No.” Patrick told him. “It would be unfair to the computer. Even if it had artificial intelligence it would lack one quality for which it would never be able to achieve.”
“And that is?” Bill asked him.
“It would never know the effect of having a heart or a soul. We are special for a reason. And those are the two biggest reasons. The third reason is the computer that is our brain.”
Bill stared at his friend for a moment. “What do you mean by that?”
“You have a computer for two or three years. When you bought it it was very fast to the point you can’t keep up with it. Right?”
“Right.” Bill answered.
“After two, or three, years you find the same computer to be incredibly slow. So you buy a new one. This new one is then incredibly fast like the last one started at. Right?” Patrick asked again.
“Within a year you start becoming frustrated because the computer seems to be slowing down. You take it to a computer repair place where they say nothing is wrong with the speed. You pay them thinking there is something wrong, but they just can’t find it. But you know they will sooner or later. It is just a matter of time.” Patrick smiled at the scenario. “Following me so far?”
Bill nodded he did.
“Now the real problem is not the computer. It is you. Your brain to be more to the point. The real problem with computers is that at first our brain is not used to them. Yet, as soon as we’ve had them for a while, our brain not only catches up to the speed of the computer but surpasses it to the point where it is now going slow beyond belief. I would say close to 95 percent of the population can, and will, have this problem. Even those who have low I Q’s will be able to out speed the computer once they have worked with one long enough.”
Now Patrick used his to get an idea of what they will need to do later tonight at the meet. Suddenly something touched his lips. Bringing his mind back to the here and now he looked to see Samantha was kissing him.
As soon as his eyes locked on hers she said. “Finally you’re back. You were so ignoring me. What is going on that this nude body is not getting your attention?”
Patrick, for a moment, couldn’t figure out what she was talking about till he really looked at her. Sure enough she was naked. He could have sworn she had been dressed when she had joined him. “When did you lose your clothes?”
“When I tried talking to you and got no response I did what I do best.” She smiled at him.
Then it occurred to him there was something else going on. He was feeling very good and then he looked down to see she had pulled his pants down and was gently stroking his shaft. Before he could say anything she knelt down to take him fully into her mouth. Samantha looked up at him. “Not ignoring me now are you.”
Patrick knew it was not a question, so he didn’t bother to answer her. “Fine. What is it you want?” Patrick asked her.
Samantha licked the tip as pre-cum leaked out before she answered. “You in me as always. But right now Bill sent me to get you for breakfast and the first meeting starts in an hour. So what were you thinking of?”
“I was looking over the map in my head of Stewart Park getting ready for the meetings. I have a few ideas.” Patrick helped her to her feet. Leaned down to suck on each nipple. “Let’s go. Suddenly I am very hungry.”
