Flovely - builds a tree house

Flovely builds a tree house

The sun is sending her first rays through the branches of the trees. In Cloud Country a slight haze is shrouding the fields and the grass. Flovely is rubbing the sleep out of her eyes and squints against the sky. Next to her her friend Flirty is lying in the grass and is still snoring peacefully. The two friends have been spending the night out in the open because of the fine weather. In the darkness the sight of the stars in the sky is terrific and you can clearly watch them. And if you are lucky a shooting star is passing.

Flovely touches Flirty lightly with her wings. But he is not so easily woken up. He turns from one side to the other and is muttering quietly. Flovely lets her sleeping friend rest and waddles across the meadow to the brook. The water is murmuring gently and the fish are swimming gleefully against the current. Flovely washes her face and the clear cold water wipes the weariness from her eyes. Full of zest for action she strolls back to her friend and notes contentedly that he is awake now.

“Good morning, you sleepyhead“, she greets him cheerfully. “The sun has long risen and I can hardly wait to do something thrilling“, she adds. Flirty sits on the meadow and props himself with his little wings. Still half-asleep he looks at Flovely , only to fall back again into the grass. “Haha, you won’t come away so easily, you have slept long enough!“, Flovely calls with a laugh and throws herself at her friend. Both roll over the meadow and Flovely pinches Flirty’s soft short plumage. Then she starts to tickle him and Flirty can hardly stop laughing. “Okay okay, you have won, I give up“, he groans out of breath because of his laughing.

The friends sit down on a small tree trunk and think about what to do during the day. “I would like to visit our friends, the rabbits Heino and Hilde“, Flovely suggests. “We always have fun with them and we can surely think of something really exciting.“
