Taking Back the House: Poetry Ireland Introductions 2023 is an anthology of poetry and short prose featuring early-career poets selected by Tara Bergin, winner of the Seamus Heaney Prize for Poetry and author of the collections This is Yarrow, The Tragic Death of Eleanor Marx, and Savage Tales, along with renowned Irish-language poet Aifric Mac Aodha. Each poet provides a pair of poems and a short, personal prose piece exploring topics from music and travel to more personal reflections, establishing a dynamic collection of work. This year's Introductions poets are Sam Furlong Tighe, Colm Brennan, Siobhán Flynn, Maeve McKenna, Rafael Mendes, Stephen de Búrca, Eoin Rogers, Susanna Galbraith, Olha Matso, and David Nash. The Céadlínte Éigse Éireann poets selected by Aifric Mac Aodha are Laoighseach Ní Choistealbha, Gormfhlaith Ní Shíocháin Ní Bheoláin, Sam Ó Fearraigh, and Liam Ó hAnnagáin.
