The Institute of Sociology at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, Poland is dynamically developing unit of this Institution of Higher Education. Its distinguished track-record in original research, innovations in teaching and cross-disciplinary scholarship makes it a very popular destination for students and acadenics from Poland and abroad. This book presents a selection of some of the recent research output of its staff. It is aimed specifically at an English-language readership in order to promote the work of the Institute abroad.
