INTRODUCTION

We are constantly surrounded by people—and they’re not necessarily positive. It’s easy for people to talk about negativity and even easier to find people who will choose to bring others down than build them up. This is so even if you simply want to help out. Someone will always try to make things harder for you.

Making a difference in the world will require you to face these kinds of people. Those who don’t want you to succeed. You can always prepare but sometimes it can really be difficult to overcome these kinds of evil. They will make your job harder and will make your world harder to live in—even darker.

It’s important to push through despite this. You can only choose to love; even better, you can only choose to become love. If you don’t want to let anything change who you are, this is your best option.

It can be difficult to think that Jesus likes car thieves and all those difficult people but the message here is that love is what binds people together. What God wants, ultimately, is for us to love and be loved.

This idea made this book difficult to write. But it makes it easier for us to be comforted because we continue to develop and grow. Hopefully, this book becomes a way of accessing and using the power of love and grace in your life and in the world.

ABOUT THIS BOOK SUMMARY

This book summary serves as a guide to Bob Goff’s Everybody, Always. No text of the actual book is included, so if you prefer, you may purchase a copy before you proceed.

This guide includes a summary of Goff’s secret to having an extraordinary life through showing love even to the most difficult people and ultimately living a life without limits or restrictions.

WHY ARE PEOPLE SO DIFFICULT?

Being grateful is one of the things that we most need in life but this is not what’s present in most of us. Some people believe that no matter what you do to help them, it will never be enough—they won’t be happy despite everything that you do for them.

Many people become ungrateful, so, others would try to make them be more grateful—this obviously doesn’t work. Some simply won’t be grateful, no matter how much you want them to be. Children can be like this, too—parents would do their best to raise their children the way they want them to grow up but this doesn’t cause children to be appreciative, let alone grateful.

This is mostly because of insecurity. People would remain ungrateful because if they did, others would find it suspicious and strange. When you look at it logically, there is no harm in saying something good to someone who does something nice for you. Would it be difficult to be grateful then?

Apparently, it is. They would expect others to do something for them without needing thanks. It’s true, you would need to know what others want when dealing with them. So, what do you want? Most would want:

Health and the preservation of life

Food

Sleep

Money and the things money will buy

Life in the hereafter

Sexual gratification

The well-being of our children

A feeling of importance
