Bent Over By The Cowboy
Hannah is married to a rich man, but not by choice. When she is introduced to a couple of rugged cowboys who are going to serve her while her husband’s away, right away she knows that temptation is going to come quick and fast....
“I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride.” I stand on steady legs, as he moves closer to me. I know that I have to put on an act, even if I am dreading the moment. His tongue swipes against mine and he holds the position, but I can’t seem to return the favor. We pull apart and he just stares at me, smirking. The guests erupt into applause
I turn away from him, allowing his arm to loop into mine and we head down the aisle that was set up in his living room. When we got out of sight of everyone, he pulled his arm away and grabbed my arm. “Remember that we have a deal,” he spoke through clenched teeth.
I nodded, as he let go of arm. I was fully aware of the fact that my parents had made a deal with the devil. Marry me and I will give him whatever he wants, whenever he wants. No love would be involved and in return I received, money, a place to live, and would soon provide my parents with a grandchild. No one cared how I felt, because it was a marriage of convenience and that’s all it was.
I watched as he walked away, feeling nauseated that I was having to go through this. The guests started pouring out of the living room. Each one was smiling, shaking my hand, and wishing me the best. I would just nod and smile, acting like half of the perfect couple. I would play my part, because that was what my parents wanted.
As the reception drug on, I began to get tired of smiling. I was relieved when the guests began to leave. Johnathan and I stood outside, waving. His arm draped around me, as the last guest took off. When we were free, I glanced at him. “I’m going to bed,” I mumbled.
He grabbed my arm. It was gentle, but forceful. “What? No honeymoon night?” He asked, smiling.
I rolled my eyes, “Johnathan, I’m not in the mood.”
Our eyes locked and he suddenly released my arm. “Okay, I’ll give you that, but remember why we have this deal...we are destined to have a child together.”
